WHAT IS BIOENERGETICS?

Bioenergetics is the study, detection and correction of energy in living systems. But with our holistic approach to this topic, we look at all ways to gather energy and make sure it is controlled and flowing properly to optimize the health of the body. We need energy to live our lives to the full, and we collect this energy through constant exchange with our environment. This exchange takes place whenever and wherever we are alive, but we can optimize it by making healthier and more conscious decisions.

While there are many competing diets put together by experts with differing viewpoints, almost all experts agree that we should focus on natural, minimally processed foods, including many plant foods. We need to avoid sugar and artificial ingredients. And more than that, we need to consume live food, that is, food that emits biophotons, and in the full spectrum of colors. (Which means we should choose a rainbow of colors in our natural foods.)

DIET

HYDRATION


Not enough is said about the power and magic of water and the great influence it has on all living systems. Research shows that water is much more than an individual H2O molecule. These are structured relationships that take place between water molecules throughout our body. These structures separate positive and negative charges, allowing water to act like a battery in the body. That gives water a critical role in producing energy for us.

SUNLIGHT AND HEAT


Light (especially as infrared light or heat) creates a higher separation charge in structured water, generating a stronger body battery. But light also triggers all kinds of activity in the body, from vitamin D production to brain signaling for daytime versus nighttime activity. It can affect mood, sleep, weight loss, and much more. Likewise, temperature affects our blood vessels, heart rate and blood; nerves; muscles; metabolism; and more.

GROUNDING/GROUNDING POLE


The body needs a slightly negative charge, which is required to maintain a large abundance of available electrons. We can get these from direct contact with the earth.

Walking on asphalt doesn't count. Walking in rubber-soled shoes doesn't count. The idea is skin-to-ground contact when walking on the grass or on the beach.

MOVEMENT / EXERCISE


Research connects lack of movement/exercise with a long list of health problems. Its importance is not only due to the biochemical exchanges that take place when we move. From a bioenergetic perspective, the compression of the bones, the stretching of the muscles, increased use of the lungs, increased heart rate, etc., help to produce a better and stronger energy field in the body.

BREATHING

Conscious breathing provides us with more oxygen than food, yet many of us are shallow breathers and do not optimize the energy we can produce from this continual activity. By improving our posture and breathing, which can also be assisted through meditation practices, it helps us get more energy for our lives.

In all of this, however, we have to find the right balance which brings us to the topic of holistic and bioenergetic medicine.
